Little is known about the history until the bike surfaced as it is now in the 1970’s.
In 1977 the engine was stripped and rebuilt by ‘Pim’ Fleming (Glasgow) the former mechanic of GP and TT racer Bob McIntyre. It was reported to have had a new piston and sodium cooled valves at that time.
The current owner purchased the bike in 1985 following the last engine rebuild by Sid Malarney who also fitted a belt primary drive kit, since then it has maintained and raced / paraded periodically at several circuits across the UK.
Forming part of a small private race bike collection it is coming to the market for the first time in some 30 years. It good working order this extremely genuine Manx is in good working order and is eligible for a whole host of historic motorcycling events including the Goodwood Revival and the Landsdowne Historic Racing series.
