1975 Norton John Player Special

The British firm John Player & Sons Tobacco Company took interest in Norton’s racing program after watching Peter Williams take many podium finishes for the brand in UK road-racing events, including the Isle of Man TT in 1971. In 1972, the company fully sponsored both Williams and fellow team-member Phil Read. From that relationship came the John Player Special, a special Commando with white full bodywork, dual headlamps and other special touches unique to the factory competition machine.
