1976 MV Agusta Mini Bike Bambino 8 Anni By Artcurial

These mini-motorbikes for kids were introduced at the Milan Show in 1975.

These “replicas” of the Grand Prix 4-cylinder MV 500 motorbikes were powered by a small Franco Morini engine and featured a centrifugal clutch. They were available in 8 or 10-inch wheels. Legend has it that Phil Read was behind this project, claiming a replica for his son, Pip. Is it true? One thing is for sure, Phil Read International imported a few units of these mini-motorbikes and they were exhibited at the “Racing and Sporting Show” in London in 1976. You can also come across a picture where Read, sitting on one of these machines, is being fined by two traffic officers.
