Indian presented a new version of the FTR 1200 at EICMA 2019. The Indian FTR 1200 Rally is scheduled to hit the streets in spring 2020.
The Indian FTR 1200 has been a topic of conversation for quite some time. First Indian showed a first prototype, which caused enthusiasm in many places. After a while, Indian then presented the FTR 1200 to the production model at INTERMOT 2018. And now, again a few weeks later, Indian is relaunching and presenting a new variant called the FTR 1200 Rally at EICMA 2019 in Milan.
Modern technology meets a retro rally look
Technically, nothing really changes compared to the “normal” FTR 1200. The Indian FTR 1200 Rally is also powered by a 60-degree V2 with a displacement of 1.2 liters, which is said to deliver 123 hp at 8,250 rpm. It is not entirely clear whether the Rally is based on the basic or S variant of the FTR 1200. The S version differs from the basic FTR among other things by a fully adjustable chassis, traction control, three driving modes, a better TFT display and of course by a slightly higher price. We firmly assume that the new Rally will be given the features of the FTR 1200 S. At least the traction control will definitely be part of the Rally.
