10 Years Of ARTRIDE At Wheels & Waves

TEN YEARS of boldness, creativity, and passion. For a decade, the ARTRIDE exhibition has been celebrating art in all its forms, bringing together renowned artists, emerging creators, collectors, and free spirits from around the world in the unique universe of Wheels and Waves.

In 2014, the name ARTRIDE was used for the first time—a name that reflects the spirit of the event, always in motion. From its beginnings at Garage Foch in Biarritz, to the Casa Ciriza, an abandoned factory in the docks of Passaïa on the Spanish side, and since 2019 at the Biarritz Skatepark, ARTRIDE has become one of the festival’s major highlights (10,000 visitors last year!)…

And for nothing in the world would the public miss its opening party, a particularly festive and unmissable moment! Among the many artists already welcomed, we can mention Olivier Mosset, a major figure in contemporary art, painters such as Paul Simonon (also bassist for The Clash), Wolfgang Bloch, and Conrad Leach, sculptor Jeff Decker, muralists D Face and Robert Vargas, renowned photographer of the ‘90s motorcycle scene and celebrity portraits Richard Aujard, war reporter Yan Morvan, the legendary Alberto García-Alix, as well as visionary builders and their motorcycles, including Toshiyuki “Cheetah” Osawa, Shinya Kimura, Roland Sands, and Go Takamine…
