1939 BSA Silver Star By Century Limited

Beautiful and very original and unmolested 1939 Silver Star. Original paint all over, except for the pinstripe on the petrol tank, which was redone a number of years ago. Twin port cylinder head with magnificent high level exhaust pipes and rear seat fitted from new. Matching numbers as confirmed by the original registration documents still with the bike.

The 1939 BSA Silver Star was a high-performance single-cylinder motorcycle produced by Birmingham Small Arms just before World War II. Evolving from the respected Empire Star model, the Silver Star was positioned as a sports variant and was very similar in specification to the iconic Gold Star introduced in 1938. It was one of the last pre-war models from BSA before production shifted to wartime machinery.

This particular 1939 Silver Star comes from ling term ownership of +30years. The speedo reads 51.376km which is no doubt the kilometrage since new, however the engine has been rebuild and serviced in the past as evidenced by modern sealant visible on mating surfaces. The engine has very good compression; the kick start crank will hold your weight easily. Easy to start and ride. Everything works including electrics, the BSA Silver Star is ready to be enjoyed on the road.

The Silver Star comes with the original registration documents and current Danish (EU) registration documents.

Currently fitted to a sidecar, however the Silver Star can be sold on its own. Please get in touch for more photos and information.
