Story of the Interceptor Scrambler
When Michael booked his bike at Purpose Built Moto, there was a bit of a waitlist due to ongoing projects. During the wait, he took the initiative to get some detailing done on the tank, applied solid colors, and fitted a dazzling new exhaust. By the time the bike arrived at the shop, it already featured an upgraded tank, new handlebars, and a unique exhaust system.
Modifications began with the PBM wide wheel kit, which includes a 17×5-inch rear wheel and a 17×3.5-inch front wheel, offering plenty of tire options for both dual sport and strictly on-road preferences. For this build, a 170/17 was fitted on the rear, and a Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR 130/17 was installed on the front, the widest possible dual sport tire for these bikes.
Moving to the front, a custom front fender was fabricated and the PBM aluminum rear fender was utilized, both nicely painted black by Justin from Pop Bang Classics. The handlebars were upgraded to a set of Renthal 7/8 bars, and a 7-inch headlight conversion was done using the Flashpoint Classic headlight, hollow tip indicators, and the new PBM headlight mounting kit. This setup allows for an easy installation and gives the bike a clean, upgraded look.
On the side of the bike, custom leather grips and PBM scrambler bar end mirrors were added. The seat was also modified by using the factory seat pan, removing some foam, and having Jonathan at Timeless Auto Trim finish it off in sleek leather.
