This reputation has been built on an unwavering commitment to authenticity and quality, guided by a philosophy rooted in three core principles:

Vintagestyle

The period from the 1920s to the early 1960s is often regarded as the golden age of clothing design and fashion, standing in stark contrast to the era of fast fashion that followed. This was a time when clothing was stunningly designed, impeccably crafted, and seamlessly combined utility with style. Durability and timeless appeal were at the heart of every piece.

For Aero Leathers, this golden age remains the benchmark. Production methods and design philosophy are rooted firmly in 1960, with nothing created beyond that era. The focus is exclusively on jackets inspired by the fashion and trends of the preceding four decades. Whether crafting original designs that echo the spirit of the time or painstakingly recreating its most iconic styles, each jacket is made for the modern individual who values the unmatched quality and enduring style of this remarkable period.

Finest Materials

Since its inception, Aero Leathers has exclusively worked with the highest-quality leathers, starting in the early 1980s with Connolly Steerhide, the same premium upholstery leather used by Rolls Royce, Aston Martin, and Bentley. Shortly after, Aero led the industry’s shift to horsehide jackets, utilizing the renowned Chromexcel Horsehide from Horween.
Over the years, the commitment to sourcing exceptional leathers has remained unwavering. This includes the recent addition of Italian Vegetable Tanned Vicenza Horsehides and Badalassi Steerhides, further expanding the range of premium materials used to create Aero’s timeless jackets.

Expert Craftsmanship

Every Aero jacket is crafted entirely by hand in the Scottish factory, following a meticulous, no-shortcuts approach to workmanship—a commitment increasingly rare in today’s world. Traditional methods are upheld with unwavering dedication, ensuring only the highest standards, a process that requires a team of highly skilled and experienced artisans.
Many team members have been with Aero since the late 1980s and early 1990s, working alongside graduates from the renowned Heriot-Watt University, the UK’s leading textile institution. Together, they continue to create jackets with the same passion and quality that define the Aero name.

Production is never approached as a cost-saving exercise. Specialist leather technicians carefully select and inspect each hide, hand-cutting every panel with precision to match color, grain, weight, and characteristics. Each jacket is then individually constructed by an experienced craftsperson using a traditional walking foot machine, reflecting exceptional care and pride in every stitch.

Before an Aero jacket is complete, it undergoes a rigorous 28-point inspection to ensure the craftsmanship meets the exacting quality standards that are synonymous with the Aero label.
